Typically, when evaluating the sound quality of a set of speakers, the most important factors are the hardware components, such as electronic components, speakers, and cables. In fact, there are many other factors that aren't as readily apparent, such as speaker feedback, external vibrations, the resonance of the listening environment, and the acoustic characteristics of the listening room.
The acoustic response of the speakers. When speakers play, the sound waves emitted by the speakers will cause the walls, ceiling, and floor to vibrate, and some will even directly or indirectly affect the speaker components. These vibrations feed back to the components in various ways; for example, the speaker frame, the air, etc., are affected at different speeds and intensities, causing the components to vibrate and exhibit their own resonance.
This causes subtle changes in the electrical current of the functioning sound system in the electrical circuit, altering the sound characteristics, making the sound somewhat muddy and causing slight distortion. Resonance properties of the environment: Objects have their own inherent resonant frequency depending on their material, shape, and size. When external vibrational energy is applied to the object and the frequency is equal to or close to the resonant frequency, the object will vibrate strongly in synchronization and resonate.
Is there a way to eliminate or reduce the inherent resonance of the listening room so that the frequency response appears flat and the speaker system has excellent sound? This is a physical property of the object that cannot be eliminated, but can only be weakened. For example, a rectangular room is easier to handle when it comes to resonance, while a square room has standing waves that are particularly difficult to handle. External vibration factors: If the listening room is located near a road, factory, construction site, elevator plant, or pumping station, etc., it is very likely to be affected by noise or ultrasound, and the speaker components will sound unclear due to the vibrations.
